if its a class i would say books are always apropriate...my daughters teachers at her preschool gave every kid a story about a scarecrow...they read it in class then each kid got a copy to take home. She thought it was soooo neat the teachers wrote a little message in the cover of each book it will be something she can save and look at when she is older. Plus childrens books are not really expensive..you could probably try either online or walmart or your local bookstore..some stores like borders offer discounts to teachers

How many we talking here. This not a lot of money to work with. I would go with the Coloring books and small box of crayons as mentioned above. Some stores do have a few thing like 10 for a dollar stuff, but, these may be too small for this age. Maybe just some Cookies and Milk for everyone (All you can eat, Ha!). But, with this you need to know if they Diabetic, Lactose Intolerant, Have Teeth etc. Well, I hope someone can help. I bought everyone that age (3-4) a little Bicycle with training wheels, but, they were like $30 each at Wal-Wort, and they would not give me a discount, now I broke and can not buy more Beer. So, I have to go over to my friends and drink theirs.
For 15 children, you may need to break off a little more cash. Heck, figure $5-10 for each child, I know this seem a lot, but, it is not. Look what I said above. I spend about $200-300 a month on Beer. I am willing to not buy Beer to get a few really good gifts for some children. True, I may went overboard, but, I figure it only this one month. I can drink my Friends Beer for a month, they know how I do and figure that their contribution to the cause. Figure $5 and that only about $75. Dollar General may have a few good things in that price range. Good Luck!
I remember once I made a bet with the Children. I got them to raise some money for a charity and in return, I told them I buy them this Giant Jaw Breaker at a place they called "Mr. Gaddies" or something. I really did not know what these darn jaw-breakers cost. 20 kids and these darn things were $5 each! But, I made the call when they "Scammed" me. Luckily the Manager did see my problem and sold me the jaw-breakers for $3 each.

Well my son just turned 3 this November and he likes to play cook. So I would suggest maybe some kitchen toys and the fake plastic food. Stuff like that is really inexpensive and they have a lot of fun fixing up meals for u. You can find them in packages at Wal-mart. Im pretty sure other stores carry them too. Good Luck!

Play-doh! My 2 year old and 5 year old both love playing with.
You can buy the 50th anniversary pack for under $15 which includes 50 cans of play-doh - lots of colors. So you could give each child 3 cans of different colored play-doh for hours of fun. You should be able to find it at a walmart or similar store. It is also available at Hasbro's website. Good luck :)

Toys R Us will have the right ones. Small kids like sound and light toys and you get them in plenty for less than the rate mentioned.
