Definitely diamonds. Whereas pearls are created by oysters, diamond take tens of thousands of years to create under extreme heat and pressure. Also, most pearls are mad synthetically (man-made) and a lot lower in value. The diamond is the hardest natural element, and considered the most valuable, they are muck more durable than pearls, which melt in vinegar. If you are choosing a gift, or just buying something for yourself, diamonds are the way to go.

Diamonds are better b/c they last forever,pearls are okay but eventually the pearl stuff starts coming off rather the pearl is real or not.

Diamonds are better for evening wear, but for everyday wear, pearls can really pull an outfit together!

I think diamonds are so much better. You can wear diamonds with about anything and they are so beautiful.

I think both are beautiful, but not comparable with each other, diamonds are cradon based rocks an pearls are a conglomerate of minerals and sand.

Both are beautiful but diamonds are longer lasting and low maintenance.
Diamonds require occasional cleaning to restore their shine.
Pearls on the other hand need to be cleaned basically every time they are worn. If this isn't done, the sweat (and yes we always sweat even if its not noticeable...) gradually dissolves the pearl and they lose luster...

I say diamonds. It think pearls are back in the day. But I like blue topaz and birthstones better because i like color!

It depends what you're wearing and your personal style. Personally I like diamonds. My sister likes pearls. Whatever, is your taste.

Well it depends on the situation and the girl. But I say that pearls are for a more cultured lady that wants jewelry that will go for every occasion. Diamonds are good for a lady who is more hype.
