You won't get a postive until the embryo has implanted, I think it can take a few weeks for it to travel down the tubes and find a place in your uterus to attach itself too, but double check in a pregnancy website just in case. You probably ovulated late and concieved a day or two before your period was due to have started.

It will still be estimated from the first day of your last period even if the tests aren't picking it up. The test are picking up the amount of HCG levels in your body. You need to get an appointment made and have a blood test done because they are very accurate. Some people will test negative for a few weeks just because they don't have a high level of hormone in their urine. Call your doc.

You may never know exact date of conception because sperm can live in you for a few days. Drs always consider the date of your last period to be the start of your pregnancy, even though technically you are not pregnant yet. But that is how they figure your due date.

Hi Honey.
Your doctor will give you your due date. It seems to me that they use the first day of your last period and count back three months. They do not take into consideration whether or not you had a negative pregnancy test or anything.
Since it would be impossible to pinpoint the date of conception they use the date that they can be sure of.....first day of last period. Then count back three months.....bingo.
Hope this helps.

If you know the first day of your last period and have a regular 28 day cycle then it is usual 14days after when you ovulated so anytime between that week you got pregnant. It is really hard to pin point the right day exactly when you got pregnant, but that is the best way to find out.

you still go by the date of your last period. the negative readings are a result of there not being enough of the pregnancy hormone being in your system i know a friend of mine who went for almost 2 months getting negative readings including a blood test. she finally got one that read a positive. her doctors kept telling her she was crazy that there was no way she was pregnant because she had just gotten her surgery done for endometriosis but obviously she was right. she got pregnant exactly 2 weeks after her surgery but it took about 2 months to show up on a test.

I usually takes about 1 week to show up in a urine test, so I would say 1-2 weeks ago. Good luck!

Your Doctor can do it, with an ultasound, and be able to tell you about how far along you are, and the estimated date of conception.
