What is succotash, and why was it suffering?

It was actually "Thufferin Thuccotash" because he had a bit of a lisp, and it was an exclamation of exasperation, like "Gadzooks", or "Egad".

First of all, succotash is some kind of food dish with lima beans and corn. Second of all, it isn't suffering. The creator of Sylvester is simply making up a catchphrase that puts emphasis on his distress. So basically, Sylvester uses it as a catchphrase to show how stressed he is on trying to catch Tweety.

succotash is a mixture potatoes,carrots,and peas and it is served as a side dish. i have no idea why its suffering though.
