I have a microwave that sits aprox. 6 inches above my TV. When I turn on the microwave the TV goes nuts. How can i insulate between the TV and the microwave so that i dont have to turn off the TV everytime i want to cook something?

Microwave is exactly that, it is sending out microwave signals and the TV is probably on the same circuit as the Micro is too. Use an extension cord for the TV and see if it will be possible to get it plugged into a different circuit breaker that controls a different wall plug socket. If the TV is on a different breaker from the fuse panel you will get less disturbance in the TV and also be able to use both at the same time. I strongly believe in all wall outlets being splits as called so that the top outlet is separated and on a different fuse or breaker. This is done at the wiring stage of the home. I have done this in my own place and it is working amazingly and also all the rooms are done in this style and although more cost and more wiring it is great. I also limited the amount of outlets to each run to a much lesser amount than most builders.

It would probably be alot easier and cheaper to just move the damn microwave or the tv. They are evidently plugged into the same outlet. Micro-WAVES. Try putting one of the items in another location, on a different electric circuit.

You could build a Faraday cage, search the www for the principle, but would be so expensive and time consuming that you will end up moving the microwave to another area.
