I threw up horrible and they admitted me come to find out I had Placental abruction where the placenta pull away from the uterus. The most painful experience because it also caused my back to severly hurt. I had to have an emergency csection. Throwing up could be a sign but her body is fixing to do some serious work and it needs to be fully hydrated. I wouldn't hesitate to get to the doctor because you don't want the baby or mommy to be in harm. I worked at the hospital and a girl came in dehydrated and she was 38 weeks she had to be air lifted and they almost lost her and the baby. Its too stressful on the body.

It is not normal for any woman who is full term to be vomiting. I had this happen to me when I was only 32 weeks and my doctor told me to come in immediately because I was far passed the vomiting stage.
I ended up in the hospital and delivering my daughter 4 days later. It might be a sign of preeclampsia which is what I had.
You can have a stroke and die. It is that serious and I did not know this until I was diagnosed. Tell her to call her doctor immediately for a blood test!
Hope this helps....

Many women get sick towards the end of their pregnancy. Just as some women get it during the first 3-5 months. Honestly i cam to find out that every woman is different when it comes you pregnancy, labor, etc.
But it is a good possiblity that she could be going into labor or it could be a false alarm or her just being sick.

Well, it's possible...I know some women vomit when they are IN labor. It is sometimes the body's way of clearing everything out as labor is about to begin or as it progresses. Is it possible that she is in the early stages of labor but doesn't really know it? She could be dilating with little or no pain (lucky thing if she is!) so maybe she doesn't notice it.
Good luck to her!

how long has she been vomiting? it is the body's normal response in labor to reject incoming food so that the energy that would be spent digesting can be directed toward labor instead. however, she needs to call her doctor or midwife if this has been going on for more than a few hours. it is extremely important for her not to get dehydrated at this point. it is not safe for her or her baby.
best wishes for a safe delivery!

I would suggest she get to her doctor or a hospital.
While the flu and colds seem to be going around and pregnant women are not immune,.. it is posible her body can not start contractions or her organs are doing poorly with so much pressure on them at this point.
It is not a benefit to either/both her health and the babies if her organs are being jepordized. There is also the posiblity something is going wrong for the child that may be cutting off food, circulation or oxygen.

She should go to the doctor. Pregnancy is so different for anyone. I would research these or any symptoms to
http://www.obgyn.net/women/women.asp?page=/women/articles/nausea_dah
Also some hot ginger tea Or cold ginger ale should help your friend and crackers...
A doctor is the best bet though.

Could be. Usually it is from the other end from what I have heard. (I have not gone in to labour naturally, 1 induction, 1 c-section). Or maybe she just had some bad chinese food.
Labour is different for every woman and generally each labour is different with each baby.
Good luck to her!

Call the doctor. The baby may be positioning itself on her abdomen. But always better safe than sorry, call the doctor.
