as a guinness drinker i find women can,t pull a pint to save their life pubs and clubs in dublin that employ these women eventually lose a lot of business most have the disguisting habit of chewing gum play loud music . and watch soaps .they think these systems are put in for their use .they expect you sit down pay up drink up shut up and listen to their rubbish or look at their soap publicans are soon going to realise most people just want a quiet drink

Too many publicans nowadays couldnt give a damn and would rather die than actually serve you themselves.Too many managed houses where the staff dont care whether you come in or not.Do your drinking in houses where the landlord actually works for a living and doesnt leave the running of his business to a load of disinterested kids.You may however be well and truly "slaughtered" by the time you find one.Happy hunting!

As someone who prefers Real Ale, my complaint is that pub owners don't take proper care of their casks and I end up with sediment in my pint. Mind you I am far too quiet to complain, so I guess it's my own fault. It also comes down to location for me; I live in Toronto and of the hundreds of pubs in the city, probably less than 20 keep cask-conditioned ale.
However, it doesn't take a genius to pour a pint of Guinness: fill the glass up half way, let it stand for a minute or two then top it up. Tis the way I was taught.

I pull/pour a great pint of lager, beer or Guiness. All the girls & boys I employed had to do the same...there are enough crappy bar staff around!
