I think that a company that would look down on a graduate degree from the UK or Australia would be a company you wouldn't want to work for. We are becoming a much more global society every day, every second actually and the more globally educated a person is, the bigger the asset they would be to an organization. (Read anything written by Thomas Friedman - he is one fo the formost experts on globalization). I actually work in the study abroad industry and I have worked in university admissions. I know for a fact that admissions (as well as the work force) is so competitive nowadays that you HAVE to set yourself apart from the rest of the herd. Studying abroad is a great way to do that. Also, make sure that you go into a graduate program that is really reputable - don't join a graduate program just because it is in the UK, join it because it is the most progressive / best / reputable, etc in that industry. That is really what matters in a graduate degree - the university supplying that degree has to be in the top of the field for those studies. That is where you will gain that credibilty, no matter where in the world you study.

relies upon on the interest, relies upon on the stages being suggested. that is complicated to respond to this question for you specially with out understanding what your occupation purpose is. An acquaintances is super for some issues, and not others. as an occasion, you will hit upon artwork (or pass freelance) doing cyber internet site layout with an acquaintances degree. you're able to do a brilliant number of self-guidance with loose on line textile with that form of element, and being waiting as an occasion your skills is maximum mandatory. There are additionally allied well-being professions that require basically an acquaintances. And in a matching vein, you're able to do commerce apprenticeships besides which carry approximately jobs that are consistently mandatory interior the international. on the different hand, there are a number of stuff the place having the Bachelors is actual greater helpful. something to do with business enterprise, as an occasion. Accounting somewhat, because of the fact which you could not surely grow to be an Accountant with an AA in Accounting. in case you had to do laptop programming (not inevitably cyber internet site layout, yet construction video games/purposes/working systems/and so on.) then having a BS in Comp Sci is terrific. There are additionally fields the place an acquaintances degree provide you the smart know-how to do a definite interest, while the Bachelors degree interior the same field supplies the theoretical heritage. that's, afterall, the fundamental distinction between community college and faculty. as an occasion, you could learn Engineering at a school and use theory know-how to layout issues, or you could learn Engineering technologies at an area college and be responsible for keeping an engineer's introduction working after that is been geared up. A 4-365 days degree in shape qualifies you to layout homes; a 2-365 days degree Architectural Drafting might might have you ever doing the technical drawings of the construction. they are appropriate, yet carry approximately distinctive jobs.

I think a lot of it depends on what kind of degree you want and where you want to work. I wouldn't have thought so (I'm getting a degree here in the UK now), but some of my previous college professors questioned my decision to leave the US. This is strange because I already have a degree from a university in the US and the quality of learning is much higher in the UK.
I agree with the statement above--anyone who looks down on it is probably not someone you want to work for. There are a lot of narrow-minded people out there.

Doubt it. To be sure I decided to do my PhD here in the U.S. then find some post-doc position in Ireland or the U.K. in order to get the overseas experience and build my C.V.
Everyone is different, but that is my plan anyway.
