My hubby is a painter and has been for over 10 years. He says it is safe for the baby once it dries completely. If he used oil based paint it will stink worse and cause a headache. If it is latex everything will be fine. Because my hubby is a painter we (my children included) have been exposed to it for a long time and everything is fine. We just make sure that when he is using oil based paint the children and I are not there. In fact we have some pretty funny stories about our children deciding paint is yummy at very young ages. LOL... You should be fine and so should your baby. Congrats on the new little one on the way!!

It IS NOT like smoking. I too am married to a painter who said that you are fine. While you are moving open the windows and let additional air circulate if you're still worried. But all in all you will be fine. Congrats on the new house and the new baby. You're a brave soul moving two weeks before the holidays and one week before d-day!!! Hope all goes well for you and your family.

It is fine. Just open a couple of windows to help get rid of the smell but the fumes are not going to hurt the baby.

Let the house air out a bit. You should be completely safe. The baby is already developed and is only gaining fat right now. There would be no harmful effects to the baby. His brain is already completely developed.
