This seems to happen every once in a while in my dreams and it has happened the past two nights. Just wondering if it meant anything special because I thought I had heard something like that before.

Falling out or rotting teeth symbolizes the fear of losing something stable in your life. You are worried about the possibility of losing someone or something, or some situation that you value. You mat see it "slipping away" but are unable to do anything about it as of yet.

"Artemidorus interpreted the mouth as the home, with the teeth on the right side its male inhabitants and those on the left side its female. Teeth (falling out, broken, and so on) are the focus of many anxiety dreams."
So, perhaps there's something going on in your life recently at home that's bothering you. Maybe a little too much going on due to the holidays.

That happens to me all the time! Or used to, at least. For me it is because teeth are one of the things I am worried about--inside my head they are irreplaceable, they are something I am so afraid of losing because I can't fix it.
when I got braces and had the dentist fix some of my teeth stuff, I have gotten that dream very rarely
(So I would agree with all the answers about loss, and loss of control)

Most dreams are a metaphor, guaranteed! Your dream is certainly an insecure dream. You will fear that something important to you will be lost, change or simply out of your control. It DOES NOT mean that someone or yourself is going to be ill or die. That is utter nonsense!
It is one of the most common dreams. So I guess you're normal and you don't need to be alarmed by these types of dreams.

I have dreams like that. I have always attributed it to anxiety. But I am paranoid about my teeth falling out (I chipped a front one real bad when I was little, and have had numerous route canals and crowns because of it).
