There is no other place I'd rather be.......yet. If/when the democrats socialize everything, I might change my mind. The "American dream" is not relying on the government to do everything for you or to tell you how to live. It is the opportunities to prosper through hard work and motivation that makes this Country great. Too many people expect something for nothing. Didn't mean to stray from the question. Anyway, yes in my opinion the U.S. is the best. I'm sure most Americans feel the same. Maybe some of the people responding to this question should go live somewhere else for a while (assuming they are American). They may come to change their mind.

Best at what? Putting nationalistic greed ahead of social or global responsibilities? Fomenting racism and class divisions? Maintaining ignorance about life beyond U.S. borders?
The American people are good people living in a corrupt system. Are their worse places to live? Sure, Sierra Leone, Belarus...
But of all modern countries, the U.S. is near the bottom of the heap. U.S. society, in many respects, is 50 - 100 years behind countries like Sweden, Denmark and Canada.

the best at what? Best people, no. It takes people with guts to stand up for there rights, and this place ain't it. People have put away their bibles and living by the laws they want, including politicians, lawyers, judges, and anyone who has enough money to buy what they want. Ask O.J. Simpson. And all Bush wants to do is put his nose in where it don't belong. Lets see, how many people can he kill before he is out of office? The best? I think not.
