Theroetically it should. RAM is where your computer stores everything that you are seeing, so if you have more RAM, you can handle more things at once.

Hi there

One component that helps your machine to run faster is RAM. You are able to run more programs at the same time, the more RAM you have. 1 GB of RAM should be enough but if you do want to upgrade, you should be able to do so. Check what RAM you gave inside your machine if you don't already know. Check that you have available RAM slots inside your computer otherwise you will need to remove all of your current memory and replace for higher capacity chips.

Hope this helps.

It will undoubtly improve your computer performance but realize it is a case of diminishing returns. Upgrading from 256MB to 512MB results in a great rise in performance. Upgrading from 512MB to 1GB results in a moderate rise in performance. Upgrading from 1GB to 2 GB results in a mild rise in performance. If you are using Windows XP, 1GB is plenty. Now, the bottleneck is not how much RAM you have but how fast your CPU is.
