This is for a grade ten science project.

Or maybe I just need to know what the equation for stomach acid is? I am a little lost.

As there is no reaction, you cannot have an equation. However, the chemical formulae of the following are:
- hydrochloric acid = HCl
- potassium chloride = KCl
- sodium chloride = NaCl

As for the acid in your stomach, yes, it is HCl.

Static(HCl(g)) unless you are prepared to do a stepwise activity calculation(HCl(aq)). Keep it simple. The only reason the salts will dissolve in HCl(aq) is the water content. The best hydrochloric acid is around 37% hydrogen chloride, the balance is H2O.

I won't give it all to you, but I will give you a start.
1) Start your molar concentration of HCl that gives you a pH that is not negative.

2) Make standard solutions of HCl, KCl and NaCl in quantities that will last for the duration of your project.

3) Use a pH meter, and more important a conductivity meter, and graph your results as you titrate.

4) Repeat, repeat, repeat, and repeat, then do a statistical analysis of your data, graph again.

5) Research what the numbers you generated mean and apply the mathmatics to a balanced equation.

Hint: Just smile at your final results and enjoy the 10th grade.

It depends what the reaction is. You'll need to write an equation before you can balance it.
