The real survey has always come up with Lincoln, FDR, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and then Ronald Regan. I don't agree I think it depends on what lies you have been fed and when they served (in your memory). EX With the book "Forced into Glory: Abraham Lincoln's White Dream: by Lerone Bennett Lincoln it seems would be off the chart. We'll have to wait and see! I think Regan and Bush are an embarrassment ok so is Bill but at least he is a likely embarrassment! :-) God Bless You and Our Southern People. WHAT AM I SAYING? The most loved President-Jefferson Davis, of course!

George Washington should be, everyone seems to like Lincoln but for the wrong reasons, Reagan and JFK are loved but it was because they were charasmatic and not because of their limited accomplishments, though I cant fault the Cuban Missle Crises. Washington was an amazing president and man, Wilson is my favorite president however. In the CSA Jeff Davis did what he could with what he had, but made a lot of mistakes. Robert E Lee would have made a great president, he was an amazing administrator, leader, and man.

It's definitely not Ronald Reagan. Lincoln often gets a favourable not from most people, as does Jefferson. Kennedy sometimes is mentioned, but he is recent enough that people still remember some of his mistakes. Presidents who are loved now are easy - everyone eventually forgets about their faults. If I had to wager a guess at who was most loved during his presidency, I'd say Franklin D. Roosevelt. He was quite popular across the whole country.

I'm A Canadian but here goes.
I would think that the most popular presidents would be the ones that are printed on your money.
From memory here are the presidents on your money
1¢ = Lincoln
5¢ = Jefferson
10¢ = FDR
25¢ = Washington
1$ = Washington
2$ = Jefferson
5$ = Lincoln
10$ = Hamilton (But he was never Pres.)
20$ = Jackson
50$ = Grant
100$ = Franklin (He was never Pres.)
Since Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln are there twice, I would say that they are the most popular.

Throughout history, probably Lincoln....more recently, Kennedy. Lincoln is remembered because he helped hold the country together during the Civil War and because he was your basic rags-to-riches story being self-educated for the most part, working his way up from the prairies of Illinois only to be assassinated at the end of the war. Kennedy because he represented youthful idealism and had two small children whom everyone - Democrats and Republicans - adored. Then, to be assassinated in the prime of his life was a tragedy beyond compare. For those of us who lived through that, it is a time we will never forget.
I think its safe to say the current occupant of the White House will NEVER be on anyone's "most loved" list!!!

George Washington. He was revered by his countrymen from day one until today. He is one of the few Presidnets in US history who's reputation has not been impuned by modern research. later Presidents just do not measure and some of the more popluar President's like Lincoln, both Roosevelts, Kennedy and Reagan all have their fierce critics. But Washington has stood the test of time.

Ronald Reagan because of his indefatigable optimism and an overflowing love for his fellow human beings – one in particular, his wife Nancy – that made Reagan who he was.

JFK hands down. though he was assassinated, look at how the nation responded. they loved kennedy. the few years he was in office are in fact referred to as "camelot." i dont think any american president enjoyed more popularity in office.
