OKay if it was soaking in a sink or the toilet i'm not sure if it will comeback. But if it just got spillled on then you might have a chance especially if it was a closed. Okay take your ds and place it on a napkin, towel ect. Open it up if it already wasnt and use another napkin or towel to dry up any obvious water. After it looks pretty dry break out the hair dryer and starte drying it. Make sure it isnt on too high of a heat because it could get to hot and damage the ds. aim the air into all of the little ports and hopefully it will evaporate any bits of water in the ports. then aim the air on the screens and the buttons and the hinge of the ds. Then place it on the window sill for maybe 30 minutes or up to a whole day. Then turn on your ds. If the screen comes up and everything is working fine then put in a game. ( turn off system before putting game in) then turn it back on if it starts playing the game then you fixed it. If it doesnt or the screen doesnt come up when you turn on your ds then your in trouble. Call nintendo or look on their website for trouble shooting etc. And get thier phone number and call them up to see what they can do. They may have you send ur ds to them and they can try to fix it or they may ask you to get a new one. And of course try not to get your ds wet again!

Aww! That sucks!
BUT! Before you take it to a funeral... give it one last chance at life.
If you can tell where it opens, take the battery flap off. Then empty out the batteries.
DON'T TRY TO TURN IT ON.
With the screen side down, set it out where a lot of sunlight will hit it, and leave it there for at least two hours, then flip it over. That's the safest way to dry it off.
DON'T use a towel on the insides. You might damage something.
If all else fails, maybe you still have the warranty for it and can take it to the store?

If it's just on the outside of the case and no water came in contact with the PCB circuit board inside or any of the electronics then you can just wipe it off with a towel. If any water got inside the casing, then yes, you're out of luck and probably not covered by your warranty. Just remember next time, portable electronics and water don't mix.

i was watching TV one time and they said to either put in an oven for the coolest temp setting and check it every 3 min. or you can put in pure alcohol i saw but remember when doing this always take out the battery pack. that was a very good question.
