Did you saw off the trunk before you put it in the water? A lot of people don't know you need to do that. I think there is also a product you can buy, but I don't know what it is called. My best suggestion is to go to a cut-down-your-own-tree place and get a fresh tree. Often the trees you buy in the lot were cut down a long time before you buy them. Since we've been cutting down our own tree, it lasts much longer.

pot it in a pot with soil and water and spray it with pine air freshener each and each day sounds stupid yet curiously works ask the position the position to procure it for some techniques reduce a million inch off the bottom, position the tree in a bucket of water, and stand it in a funky, shady position in case you do not plan to set it up right away. reduce a million/2 inch to at least a million inch off the bottom of the trunk once you carry it interior to ensure. position in a tree stand that holds a minimum of one million gallon of water. upload elementary water. Water the tree each day. stay away from allowing the water element to drop lower than the reduce end of the trunk. If it does, a seal will style and forestall any more advantageous water from being absorbed with techniques from the tree. you'll favor to make yet another reduce interior the trunk if this takes position. save the tree faraway from the hearth, vents and different resources of warm temperature. Spray tree with an antitranspirant, that is a sparkling movie that slows water loss from the needles. Spray it on previously trimming the tree. wish i helped

keep the bowl filled with fresh water and try not to put the tree very near to a heating vent (heat will dry it out quicker) also helps if the temperature in the room isnt so very hot

I've heard that you can put aspirin in the water and it will help to keep the tree fresh longer.

Keep water in the base. It will actually keep it more alive than just letting it dry out.
