After i drove the car home and parked it, go back out to start it up , starts up fine, but i can't move the gear selector, it will not move out of park position ,i wiggled it pressed on the brakes, and the gear selector still will not move from park, can any one tell me what it could be, the people that disalarmed my car, had to go under the steering collam under neath the dash board, so im guessing they did something to stop the gear from shifting

Do your brake lights still work? Some cars use the brake light voltage to enable the gearshift to leave park, so if they knocked the brake light connector loose you wouldn't be able to shift.
