Im in state of confusion, my wife just give birth this late august. Due to her cervix that refused to expand after twice being induce and 14hrs of waiting in the labour ward, she had to go thru the emergency c - section. recently, she suffered from internal pain on her left side of her tummy. We visited her gynae, the doctor that performed the operation and all she was given is the pain killer in which doesnt even stop her pain. Im a bit worried about this. I dont know whether i needed to go the hospital for a thorough check up or just maintain consulting the gynae.

I don't know how long it's been since her C-Section. But, I've had two of them and after the first one I had intense pain similar to what she is describing. My OB/GYN told me that (upon seeing this during my second C-Section) that a lot of scar tissue had formed. And that as the scar tissue, which is not very flexible, is being pulled during certain movements of the body, it causes a lot of pain. During my second C-Section he removed that excess scar tissue and I've had no further pain. I don't know if that's the cause of her problem but I would bet that it is. If she is not feeling better in a few weeks I'd make sure that she goes back to her GYN. Good luck.
