Something to go on would help.
Depending on your situation, how new the relationship is, the amount of money you two have, whether you have kids...
It could be something as simple as a gift certificate for a store like EB Games or Future Shop. Guys love gadgets and games, and a gift certificate is a way of saying "go ahead and blow the money, I won't get mad".
It could also be something to do with the two of you: pay for a weekend getaway for just the two of you, so you can rekindle a romance, or buy some special lingerie for yourself...for him. (Something with a bow that he can unwrap!) You could even buy him a gift certificate for Victoria's Secret and let HIM choose what you wear.
Otherwise, think about the little things he likes to do around the home, or little quirks, and see about buying him something related - a new coffeemaker, a CD, a book of trivia (Uncle John's Bathroom Readers, despite the name, are fantastic buys that most people appreciate), or whatever.

Don't get him anything material. Give him a self-made coupon redeemable for a movie night with him( with whatever movie he would like to watch); cook him his favorite dinner; give him a good massage(happy ending optionable); make a collage of pictures of you and him; write in big bold print 3 things you love most about him and put it in a frame and give it to him.

My husband is into cars and would like an auto parts store gift card. A gift card is a great idea!

Remind him of all the reasons you married him, treat him as you did before you got married (especially sexually), and make him feel like he is the center of your universe...and do that all throughout the year.
Don't know of a man out there that wouldn't find that the best gift from their wife.

well this all depends on his preference and what kinda guy he is if hes a sports fan i would ebay some memorabilia if he's into style check out the knew calvin cline or hilfiger catalog like i say it depends on who he is but what ever category you go with make sure it something that will mean something to him

i dunno. what does he like? i bought mine the xbox 360. he is a big gamer and already owns an atari,gamecube,and a ps2. does he collect anything. if he is just one of those hard to shop for guys. a good christmas card, with a gift card to his favorite restaurant would probably be likable.good luck, and merry christmas.
