You need to contact your GP who will send you for a scan. Many women experience spotting during their pregancy and many of them go on to have a normal pregnancy and healthy baby.

Hi
Im not a midwife either mother of three and one on the way. I would say you are fine, i had the brown blood spotting with my second child..and hes was fine! I would worry if the spotting was bright red i.e fresh blood..the period pains are quite normal in early pregnancy try not to worry..good luck :)

Not a midwife, but a Mom and pregnant also. You are probably okay. Pregnancy and Period symptoms are often the same. To be on the safe side, call your doc and ask, or go to your local Planned Parenthood. This type of thing is too important to wait around for yahoo to answer you!

Good Luck!

Spotting is normal in early pregnancy if u have severe cramps call the doctor right away . Even then if u dont still ask the doctor to check you over good luck !

I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks and all I had was three tiny sharp pains.

Like everything else we all have different symptoms so you should always get expert medical advice
