A couple of things. First, animals can transform things we can't or won't eat to food (meat) we will eat. I live in Arizona and you see cattle in the desert. Yes they get water but it takes less water than it would to grow crops in the desert.
The other thing is that if you do research you will find that enough food is being produced to feed the world. There is an allocation problem. This is because of trade restrictions, tyrannical/corrupt governments, and naive charity.
If genetically modified food was not outlawed in so many areas this would also reduce hunger.
Perhaps vegetarianism would help, but it would be the last thing I would try for the reasons it would give the least benefits.

NC is correct. Hunger is not caused by lack of food -- far from it, in developed countries there are too many farmers growing way too much food for the world, with the result that government agricultural programs are all about protecting farmers from this massive oversupply. You've heard of subsidies, agriculture quotas, farm-aid? That's all about overproduction.
Let me point out this problem would only be greatly exacerbated if humans ate more efficiently-- this vegetarian dream would cause a massive depression among the very farmers that vegetarians seem to revere.
The problem is "distribution" -- corruption, violence, incompetence, dictators, civil wars, socialism - stuff that impedes any efficient distribution of the food that is available.

There is no such thing as a hunger problem, and hasn't been since about 1980. Hunger that we see today is always artificial and caused either by bad government policies (as in India, which produces more than enough to feed itself, but the food doesn't make it to where it's needed because of the government monopoly on rice wholesale) or by wars driving farmers off their lands (as in Ethiopia, where farmers are afraid to return to their lands fearing for their lives and are forced to languish in the desert).

Man does not live by "vegetarianism" alone if I may paraphrase the biblical quote. Man requires animal protein to balance his physical being.
So if we all became vegetarians we would need all the "veggies" we feed our animals and would cause a 'Animal Holocaust' to occur. With no animals what would provide the necessary 'Fertilizer' to grow our "Veggies"

People are meant to be able to eat meat not just fruits and vegetables I know what it is called but I can't spell it I don't believe that just because it has to be cooked in order to be safe for human to eat that that means we were not meant to. It would not be the most filling other wise and people have some level of food requirements from it.

Animals are no longer created in corresponding to God. Animals have not got any soul. Jesus at a lot of fish. The Bible states all meat is sparkling. i'm a extreme meat eater, too. hen all people?

No, because people are not going to eat the stuff they feed cows. People need more protein than just eating veggies will allow.
Children must have protein from meat, milk, and eggs for proper nutrition and growth.

i am a vegetarian and my answer to your question would be no. i think the problem with the hunger issue in most countries is due to poverty and got nothing to do with animals.
