Go to an autoparts store and pick up the Haynes or Clymer manual for the 2004 Civic. The book will cost about $20 and have procedures for just about everything can do with the car.

Otherwise, items such as air filter housings are installed very simply, usually with three or four small bolts and a hose clamp where the air box attaches to the intake system. You should be able to look at it and figure it out.
