That is not normal. If you are bleeding heavily, feeling lightheaded or dizzy, or cold and clammy you should go to the ER now. If you feel pretty normal except for your period, then make an appointment to see your doctor within this coming week. They may give you the birth control pill to help regulate your period, and they will want to check your hemoglobin levels to make sure you aren't anemic. Either way, you need to see a doctor soon.

No, it's not normal and you should definitely see a doctor. I'm surprised to find out you didn't do that already, after 55 days of bleeding (just a paranthesis, this is why a woman is stronger than a man :P ). Ok. back. you should see a doctor. I've had a relative, she was 13 and her menstruation wouldn't stop. She went to the doctor and she's fine now. No fears. Gogogo

12 is normal to have your first period but 55 days is too long. It usually lasts at most a week for me. Are you sure it's your period? If you're positive then you might want to get some help.

It is not normal for anyone. Women may have extended periods(not usually 55 days); HOWEVER, not 12 year olds...have you told your Mom or the healthnurse at school. You have to be seen by a doctor...tell someone and go. Today is better than next week...I am NOT kidding..GO!

That is NOT normal! Have you told your mom? If not tell here ASAP (as soon as possible)! Then go to the doctors. And it's BAD to lose so much blood like that!

That's not normal. Ask your mom to take you to the Gyn to get yourself checked and find out what's wrong.
