sure, and right that's why: we've existed w/ the two celebration equipment too long. the two events are corrupt and that they the two upload slightly greater (corruption) each and every time a clean administration gets into workplace. I liken it to the police dept. Who polices the police? ... they police them self ... lol. different international places have ombudsmen whose accountability that's to check out citizen's lawsuits against city officers ... this occupation is almost nonexistent in u.s. ... that's how corrupt that's. comparable element w/ gov. while it includes corruption, that is not proper what celebration is in workplace. Gov purely maintains on w/ the waste of taxpayer funds by using allowing the continuation of classes that have outlived their application or refusing to downsize them. a majority of those classes clamor for greater funds and lobbyists do a super interest at getting it. Gov has gotten so good at overlaying the corruption maximum human beings do not think of there is any.

here is an example for you to think about........presidential candidates can't even consider running a campaign for less than 11+ million dollars either from there own money or from contributors who have a stake in them getting elected. This means the candidate is either wealthy and has no compassion for the common man or it means he is bought and paid for before he gets to office. Then when they get to office they have the lobbiests buying favors for big corporations. The sad truth is the government is run by big money. Elections are bought with big money.

Tell your uncle he is so right. The world over politicians are in it to line their pockets. Who is out there to serve the public selflessly? - take any country.
Now the recent scandal about corruption and Hillary Clinton goes to prove that point.
Where there is smoke there's fire.

I think that anytime you put people in charge of people, you will have some form of corruption, from the hall-monitor at school to the top leaders of a nation. I don't believe our government is any worse than any others, but at least we have a system of checks and balances that helps to eliminate the worst of them from wreaking havoc on our society.

Yes.
There's never been good campaign finance reform, so politicians need to be constantly raising money to get elected/re-elected.
It takes about 15 million to run for the Senate, about 2-4 million to run for the House of Representatives.

The U.S. government is obviously corrupt. Your uncle's right: it's not about serving the people; it's about money and power, and serving one's self.
Politicians have made a mockery out of the term "public service", have formed their own little monarchy, and have been sucking off the taxpayers' teat for far too long. -RKO-

Of course, it is. The only problem with a capitalistic society is that is open to corruption. In a "coin operated" society, you can expect no more from them. It's only human nature. Lying to cover it up is expected too.
People, as a whole, are corrupt.
Everyone is a thief....except me!

I think it's the smart people who are corrupt. Check it out.
Knowledge is power. Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Sound familiar?
So then I guess knowledge equals corruption, and absolute corruption is absolute knowledge. Its not political science, it's political math.
As far as serving the public selflessly, how about Police and Firemen.

all organizations have some degree of corruption, because these are just groups of people, and people will respond according to the perceived risk/reward of a certain action.
