I thought sometimes she was out of line, but then I realized that we don't get the whole picture, she has all the information, the charge that was put up against the defendant and the answer to the charge, when people lie in their answer to the charge they will forget what they wrote, because people seem to always forget a lie,but if they are answering the charge truthfully this they will remember.
If the judge, any justice catches you in a lie, they will no longer consider you to have a valid answer and will doubt every word, and this will give credibility to the person bringing you to court or vice verca.
I don't beleive that Judge Judy has to go to antics for ratings it is a real court room with real cases I enjoy this program tremendously, and don't forget that this is not Judy's first picnic in court she knows how to read people, as she says, on your best day you are not as smart as I am on my worst day. What a woman.

I absolutely love judge Judy. I watch her every chance i get. She can be a little to harsh on people but i think she's just trying to help them. Force them to think smarter so that they don't wind up in another courtroom sometime later in more trouble.

What I can't understand is how her husband can put up with her? Unless this is all an act for ratings, she must be hard to live with. I also don't think it's normal to have all that negativity she has. She really needs to talk to a shrink! They used to watch that show where I worked. I can't stand it, myself. You're right, she is way too mean. Also, most of the defendants on that show aren't too smart.

No way - they know what they're letting themselves in for long before they arrive on her show! That's her style and that's what they want. Judge Judy rules - its her courtroom afterall!

I love judge judy. They liars she blasts off on definitley deserve what she hands out. stupid deserves to be called stupid.
