The Wii isn't going anywhere. If used correctly, it's perfectly safe. I expect to hear news somewhere down the line that Nintendo is going to replace the thin straps on the controllers with thicker ones. If you don't get out of control with your movements, the current straps work just fine. I know this because I have a Nintendo Wii, and it's a wonderful machine.

The same people that are going to sue Nintendo are the types that would sue Mcdonalds for serving hot coffee. People need to step back and use more common sense, and rely less on greed to make a quick buck at someone else's expense.

If the controller design's been patented, it must be because of the aftermarket modification for the NES that never worked: the power glove. It was amazingly similar to the Wii remote, but it never worked. period. It only worked on the commercial!

Hey if your product doesn't work, why sue the guy who improved it? This is just hogwash, like the SCO vs. IBM case. It was a dumb case with virtually no evidence that could've destreoyed the industry as we know it!

There's no way it's getting taken off the market.

I think you're referring to the stories that people are injuring stuff with their Wii remotes, but that's just a news story, no one is getting sued.

And even if they did get sued, don't worry about it. People get sued all the time, and it turns out to be nothing.
