I have many, here's one: I once worked for a company in a new branch with four other guys and. I'm black, the director was white, his manager was white, the other worker was white and the last guy was asian. About once every week, the art director would come in the room with the manager and worship the asian guys work he would do. No doubt he was really good at his work, but the director and manager would ALWAYS cross the line by saying exactly this, "Asians are so smart, thats why he's so good. It's their culture, they challenge themselves greatly and are most intelligent because of how much their school system pushes them at young ages." The director would then say, "I wish I was asian."
These are exactly there words unbelieveable as it sounds, and it drove me crazy at the obsurdity. They would always treat this guy with extra special privilages as well. We all worked equally hard and learn from each other, but he always got treated much better. The racism is, when ever they would say those things out loud about asians in that guys favor, I thought to myself, 'if they're so keen on how they feel about asian culture being so grand, I wonder what they feel about black culture. I doubt they feel positive about black culture'. I then put it in context and realized I never heard any non-black person say, "black people are so smart, so brilliant, they do things so well and their culture is so hard working, etc".
Simply boosting one race automaticallly demeans another, and in my case, demeaning black workers because it should be obvious that race has nothing to do with your intelligence yet here were these grown men in charge worshipping asians like genius's. Clearly not every asian is smart and hard working, just like not all blacks are ghetto and in the slums.
This remeinded me about how true that racism is when I saw this acted out on a show called MAD TV. It was a skit called, "Just the average asian". And it was about how everyone keeps thinking the main asian character who plays the average asian, is brilliant because hes asian, and he keeps trying to explain to the people that he's just the average guy. Thats when i realized, 'I guess this crap does exist. How stupid'.
Also, that asian guy at my old job even admitted to me that when he was growing up, he realized that he always got much better treatment than black people just because he was asian. He said he felt bad about it, but took advantage of it to succeed.
If thats not racsim, then I don't know what is.

Racism has really been turned into a political term. It gets more coverage on television when it concerns flags, tee shirts, and simple everyday matters. Most of the time it is thrown around lightly and you don't see the down and dirty hate filled racism that many people endured during the civil rights movement although it still exists. Racism has gotten so much attention that the meaning has been stretched and now anyone can cry foul. Most of the time these days we perceive racism as a visual insult to ones heritage or belief. One hundred years ago the term was never spoken and people had to withstand lots more than visual insult. The thing is in a country that protects everyone's belief you will always have to make room for things that offend others. So in the long run racism will always exist if only to protect everyone's right to free speech. Don't get me wrong there is still some very hate filled people of all races who set out to do others harm or hold them back. You just don't hear as much about some stories as you do about political ones. When it comes down to the point real racism isn't about a flag or a word some idiot muttered in a club. Its about a more powerful force that keeps a race or creed down in poverty. It is about ignoring issues because the majority of a certain people don't matter so those people can't take responsibility and move on. Take down the Confederate Flags, outlaw the words, but that still won't give an education to those who need it. It just makes the whole mess look better. There is still racism. Our country spends most of the time addressing fallen symbols and outdated words. It takes a lot more to look deeper.

I'm guessing you are not an American? Racism was born w/ America, ever since the slave trade. Those racist feelings towards black has never died, still strong in some people hearts. Now some hate Jews, religion is becoming the newest reason to hate someone. Watch the movie crash its not only a good movie but it shows how racism is still alive in the American cultural.

My cousin was called a "n*gger" for no reason by a group of white men driving by in their cars. I was called a n*gger b*tch by a foreign man driving pass my car because his *ss couldn't drive. There are other personal situations but I am not going to go into all of that. By the way, ms boob head, those are NOT good examples of racism honey. How is the NAACP or the UNCF racist? Girl, something is wrong with you. LOL I have seen white people among other races of people in black magazines and on BET. Your comment shows that you obviously DON'T know what you are talking about. Get your sh*t straight before you try to address an issue to avoid looking stupid in the future.

some people living in America are still racist. Some Whites hate Black. Some blacks hate whites. Some people hate Jews. You know the Klu Klux Klan and Nazis are in america right. Some people hate muslims. Some people hate Christains. Rasicm is everywhere. But it is the minority I think.

I find it amusing that many look down on the US for such things while they ROUTINELY expereince race riots in their own country.
Yes there is discrimination here, part of it is caused by government quotas and part is social issues.
But anyone is by far more free here than anywhere else.
