You can add on to a CD-R if it is not finalized, but you cannot replace info.

No, a CD-R is a one time writable disk. So if you put data and write it onto it, thats it, it can never be replaced, as can nothing ever be added onto it or taken of it. It becomes "Read-Only".

You want CD-RW, re-writable which allow constant editing to the disk's contents.

No. You can replace info on CD-RWs. CD-RW is short for CD-ReWriteable.

No. You need to purchase re-writeable cds, o r CD-RW's as they are technically called. Regular CDR's are for one use only.
