I want to put some new pics up on my MySpace page, but when I got to upload them I get the same error. File to big. How do I resize my pics? I have tried everything and am getting pretty frustrated! HELP!!! Thanks!

To resize your pictures you will need to open them in a program that supports resizing them. I am assuming that you use windows, in that case Irfanview (www.irfanview.com) is a great freeware program for this.
If you click on "FAQs" on that site there's a question (Q: How to reduce saved file size from XX to YY KB?) that explains how to use the program to resize pictures. When you resize a big picture (1024x768 to 640x480 for instance) its filesize will go down too.

I use IRFANVIEW. I'm putting a link to the download site below. It is a very simple tool to learn to use, and handle photo re-sizing very simply and accurately. Once you open a photo with this tool, use Ctr.+R to open the re-size tool, then click the box near the bottom of the dialog window that says "keep aspect ratio the same" (I don't remember the exact words) - and then take the biggest number of the two dimensions (basically height or width) and reduce it until your file size fits into what MySpace will allow.
Or, since I use graphics on MySpace myself, another option would be to load your pics into a photo hosting site (like Flikr) - and then use the URL for the photo to link it on MySpace. This short-cut has saved me a lot of agravation.

Most computers have a Program called Paint. Resize it there. Or if you have Photobucket, or any other photo editing program almost all of them have a resizing part. If you already resized it, Sign out of myspace and back in.

Resize your pictures prior to uploading..
One of my fav programs is http://www.irfanview.com/ and it's free!
All you do is once you have installed the program is open the photos you want to use within it, then choose "Options" then click "Resize/Resample" then choose a smaller size for that photo

Did you crop them or mess with them?Myspace doesn't allow you to put your pictures on myspace if you mess with them too much. If you didn't mess with your pic, your picture is probably just too big. On myspace, they give you a link so you can resize it.

Just dont use myspace!! As fun as it is I know a few people whose MYSPACE's have been hacked in to and they are having porn sent from their account to people in their friend's list! It happened to my flat mate and she was beyond embaressed! Use facebook instead-much better and there aren't any showy glamour model wannabes on there!
