well if you take it to mieneke, sears,or a place like that your gonna get hosed. They charge for everything like inspecting the rotors and stuff like that. When all you actually need is a set of brake pads which are less than 20 dollars. You can probably have a friend put them on for you and still pay less than at a store like i mentioned.Or if you live in new jersey ill do it for 25 bucks...

I have no idea how much you will get charged for this job because I don't know what's causing the brake noise.

That said, if you have the spare cash, and the time to invest, go to Autozone, Pepboys, Advance, NAPA, or whoever and buy a general repair manual for your vehicle. Haynes is a good one to start with, and read it, especially the first part about routine maintenance. You will learn valuable things, maybe even some stuff you can fix yourself. And you'll know what going on when you take it in for repairs.
I wish you the best of luck.

depends why they are squeeking. could be worn brakes. and prices vary on each car, but pads are maybe about 50-60 dollars a set of front brakes. or could be a loose rotor or caliper and those would need to be adjusted if they are in good shape but im sure this is not the problem

FORD F-350 Super Duty long bed truck
or
Honda Civic.
