If you really want to get him out of your mind, you either have to really WANT to do it, or you'll have to find a replacement for him; I suggest Tommy Shaw from Styx. I'd say his voice is better than Merc's, plus you can get all of the same insinuations of him (or at least Styx's songs, like Come Sail Away) being gay, without it actually being true. Styx isn't a personal favorite of mine, but they do have a few good songs, like Blue Collar Man, Too Much Time on My Hands, and Fooling Yourself. Oh, and if you happen to think that Mercury was the only GOOD rocker, then perhaps your tastes in rock music are WAY too narrow.

Freddie Mercury was an amazing singer/songwriter. The music world took a huge hit the day he passed.

Freddy Mercury is pretty good. But seriously turn on the radio and listen to more music.

Why would you? Queen featuring Freddie was Rock n Roll at its finest.

I was so heartbroken when I learned he didn't like girls. But not as heartbroken as the realization that his death meant I would never see Queen live.

Rest in peace Freddie, I know you will continue to live on in the hearts and ears of rockers everywhere

Because you like him. And, hopefully, because you haven't seen me play... yet. There are plenty of great rockers out there - you just happen to love Freddie Mercury. He was unique, and is missed.

that is not undemanding to assert, he might desire to be while in comparison with Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, or Steven Tyler of Aerosmith. i individually could take Freddie Mercury over the two one in each of them in making a track, yet i don't think of so as excellent rocker ever. p.s. - I additionally like Jim Morrison of the doorways, yet he would not have the making a track skill of any of those above.

If you are such a big fan of Freddie then you may not want to get him out of your mind. If you do, you should listen to some new music and find another musician to focus on. But, don't ever let go totally.

-gasps- Why would you WANT to remove him from your mind!?! I wouldn't want to remove him from mine. He's one of the best rockers ever, but there are other good ones too...but almost none are as awesome as him.
