My son has games from all the previous generations, gameboy, color, and advanced. We would like to get him a DS Lite for Christmas, but we want to be sure his older games will work.

GB Advance, and even them it's single player. The other games are so old, the DS can't deal with them. Have you ever tried to play an old DOS game, like Civilization, on a computer with XP? Same idea. Also, multiplayer won't work because the games don't know how to handle wi-fi.

The New DS lite can only play DS games, and GBA games. Nintendo had to remove the Gameboy games cause they couldnt fit it all into one. If you want buy a game boy color and other consolues from EBAY.com Ty plz pick me

No...it can only play DS games and Gameboy Advance games. It won't play any of the Gameboy Color or Orignal Gameboy games.

There's only a slot for GBA games and DS games.
