Everyone is different..It is well known that Einstein only slept one hour a day...If you feel good with five hours then that's what works for you....If you are young,(less than 16), then I suggest you get eight hours because your body is growing and needs the rest to recover. Otherwise know that your sleep needs will change throughout your life, when you are really athletic you will need more sleep, when you are sick you will need more sleep. When you are worried or stressed you will want more sleep but won't be able to. So just listen to your body and take good care of yourself............

You should sleep enough to feel alert and rested the next day, without the aid of any substance. This varies from person to person and depends on many factors such as age, quality of sleep, etc. Generally speaking, 5 hours is NOT enough for most people, but it may work for some.

Getting less sleep than you need can have a broad range of consequences over time. Immediately, you will feel tired, your efficiency will decrease, you will be more irritable (especially if you are taking lots of stimulants such as coffee to stay awake), you will be more stressed, with all the consequences that being stressed can have on your health.

Now, if you are not currently experiencing any of these symptoms, maybe for now 5 hr is enough for you. Keep in mind that the changes in your need for sleep may change according to your age, the season, your daily activities, how much you exercise, what and how much you eat, etc.

If you sleep for 5 years your awake time will get less and ull feel sleepy after like 8-10 hours I assum..Minimum hours of sleep depends on the effort that u've done in a day so if u ran a lot, talked a lot, shouted a lot,ate a lot, used your fingers a lot and so on you might need like 7-8 hours and if you just watched tv and stayed at home 5-6 hours could be fine.

your body just gets worn out. your skin may break out and your muscles may be sore and you wont have much energy. your body and mind need more rest.
