For some women, it takes a year for periods to return to normal. Mine returned to normal straight away.
If you want to go back on the pill, just start taking it on any day, but use additional contraception for the first month.

I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse so i can tell you that it may take 2 or 3 months before the body returns to normal. You can take evening primrose oil capsules or better still star flower oil. You should also take a vitamin and mineral supplement called well woman. You can get all of these at the health store. Just be patient

It generally takes approx three cycles (ie three months) for your hormone cycle to get back to normal, although they can be irregular for anything up to a year. I suggest you go and see your GP or family planning clinic.

Your next one shouldn't be any heavier than usual, though.
