These sanctions were not against Fidel but against ordinary people of Cuba. Then why did they do that to Cuban people? To defend the human rights of cuban people? Who was that "judge" who did that? Who will bring back the people lives that have been lost in poverty and sufferings due to these sanctions in Cuba ? What was the goal of these sanctions?

Cuba embraced the Soviet Union and supported communist guerilla groups throughout the world. So why should the USA bankroll it? It is still in place today because Cuban emigre communities do NOT want the sanctions to be lifted. If it was not for the Cuban community in America the sanctions would have been lifted a long time ago.

When was Cuba ever a rich country? Most of the wealth going back to Spanish colonial days was always concentrated in the hands of a few. It did not change under communism.

Its worth noting that the embargo implemented by a democrat.
But what turned Cuba from a thriving economy to a 3rd world country was the socialist/communist government. People in the US have been propagandized in to believing that taxation stimulates economic growth when there no historical models to support this.
Blame Cuba for Cuba's problems not the rest of the world.
