Repeating things is ad-naseum is neither left nor right.
There are plenty of folks on the right who repeat the following without thought as well:
Saddam is responsible for 9/11.
There are WMD in Iraq.
It doesn't matter that bin Laden is free.
It goes on and on. I'd blame main stream media: i.e. Fox, CNN etc for being so wonderfully commercialized and their ability to reduce the average person's attention span to that of a fruit fly's.

Conservative talking points come from Karl Rove, Bush's political adviser, and from the RNC (Republican National Committee). Some of the rants and insults you hear here are from Republicans who are pretending to be Democrats to get a rise out of people, others are from adolescents who also like to taunt adults. Skip this forum if you're offended, avoid loaded and rhetorical questions. These usually inspire the hateful responses.
