i'm 13 , 5'11 and 180 pounds of muscle and i'm one of the best basketball players in the state of Connecticut but next year i'm goin to highschool but i needs some workout tips becuz i play AAU and right after that highschool starts i still have like 8 monts till highchool but i want to make sure i'm in tip top shape
anyone got any tips?

It's too hard on the knees - even the pros will tell you that, and you don't need to play "run-and-gun" ball at this stage where you are still learning teamwork. Begin to hit the weights - slowly at first - your body is still growing. Play one age group up in AAU - you want to challenge yourself and improve - not stay the same. Swim some - at least once a week - it will keep you in peak form. Eat lots of LEAN meat and vegetables. Stay away from "fatty" snack foods - such as potato chips and pizza. (You can "cheat" three or four times a month and eat these foods - just not on a regular basis.) Above all, keep practicing your free throws and defensive drills.
