In buckinghamshire (UK) the minimum age to work outside school hours is 13 but in fact it goes farther in that local councils then set their own restrictions (bye laws) which usually push the limit up to 14 but then employers' own insurance generally restricts who they employ so that pushes the limit up to 15/16. I wish him luck anyway, at least he's making an effort.

Most places you can work as young as 14 but under very strict limitations. I worked at a convienience store when i was 14 and I was not allowed to work past 9pm on school nights and could not work more than so many hours in one week. Also you have to get a worker's permit and usually there as to be a legal adult over the age of 18 working the same shift as you. I would try a Mcdonalds or a fast food restaurant because they are really good about hiring young people to work after school.

The minimum age is 14, although most places go by 16. I too am 14, and in need of a job to pay off some things, but I'm just waiting untill I'm 16. He could try cleanign someones house, or mowing someone elses lawn. Elderly people love the help! ^_^

I think it varies from state to state. In CT the legal age is 16. Some people can go to family owned businesses and get in at the age of 15. I suggest delivering newspapers. That job has no age requirement.

I think the laws differ from place to place about "real" jobs, but there are lots of things a 14 year old can do, from mowing lawns, shoveling snow, washing cars, shopping for seniors, delivering newspapers, baby sitting, tutoring, general clean up and organization (garages, storage sheds, basements), etc. With jobs like these he can determine his own hours and schedule. Possibly put an ad on community bulletin boards and see what happens.

Erm well at the age of 14 the only job you can get is a paper round were you get paid per paper that he delivers. the only other jobs he could get would be if he did graphic design or beat making and thing like that were he can make them and sell them on the internet but that isnt a regular job and can become very hard work. he can do a young apprentaship at school in year 10 and if employers like him may deside to employ him. hope this helps!

i think 18 is the minimum age for a person to complete this basic education, i dont knw from which country you are but i suggest you to provide more education to your child instead sending him for some job at a tender age, if you want him to do a part time job then i think 15 would be quite better
have a nice day!!

Check with your state. When my son was 16 he had to get a work permit in order to hold a job with a "real" company. Most kids in my area under 16 do lawn work, babysit, housework, etc.
