I always fancy coke when I'm sick, maybe the sugar and caffeine gives me a boost.

Well, if you don't feel like eating, there's no law that says you have to. And if you're taking medication that can affect the way things taste - I remember when I was on serious antibiotics and everything tasted like brick dust.

I like plain Greek yogurt when I'm feeling nauseous (and it contains good bacteria that settle the stomach). You might like to drink hot water and Oxo/vegemite/marmite/whatever it's called where you live - the stuff with the beefy flavour - because that's quite nourishing and helps clear the nose and chest, especially if you add a touch of Worcester sauce if you like it.

Or go for some easy-to-digest comfort food; ice cream (yes I know it's winter but it soothes the throat); peanut butter and jelly sandwiches; I'd lay off the meat, chicken, and heavy stuff.

Hope you feel better soon.

I make my very own Homemade Chicken Soup:

3 or 4 boiled chicken breasts (cut in small pieces)
water (4 or 5 cups or more if you desire)
1 package of crinkle cut carrots (found in the freezer section)
3 stalks of celery (cut finely)
1 small onion (cut finely)
2 cans chicken stock
salt & pepper to taste

Put all ingredients together and boil until veggies are cooked through.
Eat a big bowl, drink lots of juice, take some cold medicine, get in your jammies and rest. Hope you feel better soon!

Remember: don't eat or drink any form of dairy. Milk, ice cream, cheese etc... will cause you to produce more mucus and will make you feel even worse.

Don't eat chocolate, it feels like its stuck in your throat! Soup is a good joice becasue it runs down. Don't eat stuff that is hard and has a lot of texture to it (like bakery bread) i had bronchitis too, it was the worst. Water helps a lot too.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I don't get sick very often, ( knock on wood ) but when I do I have no appetite. Knowing its critical to get some fluids & nutrition I sip 7-up on ice and try to eat a few saltine crackers or a slice of toast. rest , rest & more rest. Be well ....

When I'm feeling ill I have no urge to eat at all. I've been like that since I was a kid and when I was a kid my mother gave me V8 juice and to this day when I do feel sick that's what I drink V8 juice fills you up as well and it's healthy as well.

Get well soon.

Generally I do not want to eat anything. But you need to eat to give your body the strenght to fight. The old chicken noodle soup thing is probably the best thing, hot tea, Gatorade.
