Take a very large rock and smash it into your frontal lobe. If this idea does not appeal to you, you do have other options... You can give up on life and dwell in your own misery. You could lock yourself in your room and completely shut yourself off from the outside world... Or, you can try this; Turn on your shower and let the steam fill the bathroom. Look in the mirror and continue to gaze into your own eyes until the steam makes it impossible to see your own reflection anymore. Get in the shower and shut out everything except the sound of the water as it hits your body and let your mind drift back to a time (even if it's only a brief moment) that you were happy and content. Stay in that moment for as long as you can and gradually bring yourself back to the present without stopping at that time you want to forget. Take the soap or body wash and give yourself a soothing rub down, thinking only about the sound of the water and the smell of the soap. Take your mind to the place that you want to be and tell yourself that this is your new beginning. Let your mind go and your body will follow. Rinse yourself off and climb out of the shower. Go back to the mirror and stare into it until the steam evaporates and you can see yourself again. Give yourself a little smile, get dressed and take a nice walk or a drive. Tell yourself that when you arrive back home, that you have left the past far behind and that this is now the first day of the rest of your life. Repeat as necessary. Take care.

Why would you want to erase your past? It is a part of who you are today, good, bad or indifferent.

A better solution is to review the events, analyze your response, learn the lessons that have presented themselves, and then forgive yourself or others.

it's pretty impossible for me to forget the past, but you can achieve this only if you keep looking in the future. when past comes in your mind again, erase the thought, force yourself to do so, and think about something pleasant.

the past is to remind us, so that we do not make the same mistakes, the ppl who are kind to us, the pleasant memories, do not dwell to much in the unpleasant incidents, you'll find your own way to deal with it, you've not found it yet, what works for some may not work for you.
