Christmas is not about getting it is about giving and I am proud of you that you are not overextending yourself and getting yourself into debt. I have a large family and I do little gifts the dollar store is a great place to get wrapping paper and bows and packages,
My husband and I are relocating the end of December so we are just giving each other gift certificates and we are not spending loads of money on eachother that does not make sense as we will have expenses for the move. Down scaling is a good thing we have done it.

On a spiritual note Christmas is about the birth of Christ and it should be about helping your fellow man and reaching out to those that are less fortunate.

Peace be with you and Merry Christmas

Refusing to spend at all costs (no pun intended) is fine as long as you're willing to refuse expensive gifts from others, otherwise it's a bit hypocritical.

Christmas is all about gifts now adays. Everyone seems to forget it is about the birth of Christ our Saviour. I can't buy what everyone wants anymore. I get them something small and just spend the time with family. Celebrate our Lord!!!!!

Joe Willy Neckbone says, " I don't rightly know the answer to this question."

"But I'll be right here in-case you ask a question I do know the answer to!!"
