No. Words that you use reflects what type of person you are. For instance, you don't sense malice or any offense if Mother Teresa speaks, neither The Pope or Mahatma Ghandi, but of course, try listening to some of George Bush's speeches. Then, you will be able to see how words reflect their personalities.

Negative words are used maybe because the speaker has insufficient vocabulary or speaking skills, especially when he or she needs to emphasize very much on something. So he or she says, " The pyramids are ******* big!" , instead of "those pyramids are majestic!"

OR, it's just an "in" thing (for them).

By negative words I'll suppose you include cursing. When ever I curse in a conversation to get my point across is usually for the following reasons.

Frustration with the lack of understanding by other people in the conversation. These people are "pseudo" intellectuals and can just be very annoying when they fight a point about which they are not knowledgeable.
Anger because certain people think that by interrupting my sentences they can destroy my points and make their points more valid.
I very often use curses to make my point such as, "F.cking is not the same as making love because all the tenderness of the sex act has been removed".
And last but not the complete list is the fact that at that moment in time I may be physically tired or not that well prepared to be in that conversation.

negative words are a must, simply because it can't all be positive words. If there wasn't, we wouldn't be able to do things like tell how icky we feel when sick. But we think in words, so if we are pessimistic, the negative comes more easy, and vice-versa with optimistic.
