Your friend is jealeous that she might loose you. Assure her that you do value her, but still find other qualities in the other people (that you talk to).

Well if she is really your best friend, then she should listen to how her actions make you feel uncomfortable, Let he know that she is your best friend, but that you also have other friends and that you need her to respect that. Maybe she has not thought of it that way. LEt her know tho, that if she can not be at least cordial to your other friends, then you will have to ask her not to hang around when your other friends are there. Your best friend is acting like a jealous boy-friend. You should nip this in the bud before it gets out of hand. Yet on the other hand..... maybe your best friend knows something that you do not know about the other person/group of people..... Ask her that first. Don't accept cheesy gossip to be honest tho.

She sounds like a very possessive person where your friendship is concerned. That's not fair. People can be friends with whomever they wish and shouldn't be controlled by others who don't want you to. Maybe she's afraid of losing you--talk to her and let her know--she's not your only friend that you have lots of friends and she is the special friend.

Explain to her that all though you thought she understood you before you will explain it to her again. Tell your friend you love your friendship with her and would like to continue it but
that you consider her attitude both disrespectful and childish. Let her know that her behavior is not acceptable to you and if she continues to act that way you will have to move on. Then stick to your guns.

If she is such a good friend she would have listened to you when you asked her to stop.
