Your first period ever? There is a chance that you are pregnant - but I wouldn't freak out if you don't start on the 16th. If you have just started menstruating, then your cycles may not be concrete - and you may not know exactly what your cycle is anyways (some women are 28 days, some 32...)
But some tests you can take as soon as you miss a period. But a blood test is more accurate.
If you find out that you are pregnant - tell your mom. Even if she gets mad at you - you will be better off getting advice from a mother, than trying to deal with it on your own.

Just relax, you're probably not pregnant..You can take one of those early pregnancy test on the first day of your missed period..It'll say on the package if it's the kind you can take early or not..It's in God's hands now, so if it's meant to be-it'll be, & if it's not meant to be-then it won't be..Let me know what you find out!!

I had my first child when I was 16. The best thing you can do is take a home-pregnancy test 30-31 days after your last period started. This is the time-frame to be certain you aren't testing too early, and yet it's not too soon at that point to test. Or you might try contacting Planned Parenthood. They are very good about confidentiality. As far as your parents go, even if you aren't pregnant, you should talk to one of them. If you are going to have sex, there is the possibility of getting pregnant, no matter how careful you are. I was terrified to go to my mother and tell her that I was pregnant, but it was the best thing I could have done. By the time I got around to telling her, everyone else in my family had guessed, but luckily no one had mentioned it to her before I could. Since I was the first to tell her, she gained some respect for me, and it made us very close in the long run. Don't get me wrong, in the beginning it was hard. She yelled, I yelled, we both cried, but then we hugged, and she has been beside me thru everything.
I can't assume that your parents will react the same way, but I can tell you that you won't know what will happen until you are in that situation. And, as a parent, I now understand how my mother felt at that point in time. The anger, hurt, despair, and worry are immediate, but the LOVE is always there, even if it takes a back-burner for a minute. You need to tell your parents that you are sexually active. I know this seems like the hardest thing you'll ever do, but, trust me, there are harder things-like raising a baby when you're young! Just hang tough and things will work out for you. Good luck to you

Ok, first don't flip out! 2nd If possible go buy a pregnancy test at the store i recommend first response, up to 5 days before your period i think? Then wait until morning, when you wake up, use the first urine of the day! That is always the strongest to tell you yes or no. Second of all, talk to one of your parents, mom if possible or whoever you feel comfy enough to talk to, Let them know that you have had sex and you are thinking, if you already are not, about becoming sexually active. It may come as a shock, but unless you are like 10, they will understand. My strongest recommendation would be to get informed on every single product that is out there, and weigh your options. Talk to your doctor, GYNO if you have one. In the future, he/she will be one of the few people that you will learn to depend on. Or if you choose to go the other route, go to the Health Dept, i believe they do free tests.

If you really are pregnant, make sure you know what you are getting into. Make sure if you do get an abortion, you don't wait ANY longer than 7 or 8 weeks pregnant, this is when it is not an embryo anymore but a fetus, and you will need to get surgery, The surgery is humiliating and invasive and costs a lot of money. Before that they can give you an abortifacient pill. Also, when it is a fetus, it is aware, is sucking it's thumb, kicking his legs, etc.
It's better to put out for adoption, at least you can meet them one day and that will be really cool, or just have it and your parents will help you raise it, all will be OK.
It's better than having to live with the memory of having an abortion, the memory never goes away for the rest of your life.
But if you do decide to get one: DON'T PROCRASTINATE. It's a horrible, invasive, painful, expensive and humiliating surgery and it's a long long life you have to live.
So, think wisely. Go get a home pregnancy test and I wish you well.

First off, you dont need your parents permission to get blood work done for pregnancy. At your own doctor, and especially at a plannedparenthood or clinic.
You can test when you're late. Or you can go get blood work now, its technically not to early. The early home pregnancy tests are only 60% effective at detecting pregnancy before you're late.
A child raises a baby like anyone else raises a baby. Part of making the adult decision to have sex, whether protected or not, is accepting the adult responsibility that it results in babies. When a child become pregnant, they stop being a child and have to grow up.

your questions says it your are child don't have sex... now answer your questions, you could be pregnant. having sex a female is @ peek fertility days 10-14 of her cycle. second. get a pregancy test. you can get them that show 5 days before your missed period. Also, your doctor can do a urine test, or blood test w/o your parents knowing, the only thing is they will get the bill, anything related to sex a CHILD can have treatment for w/o informing parents. Also you can go to planned parenthood or the health department. In my city there are also places that provide tests and other resources:counsiling, help w/ cribs and other necessities, for minors.

I would say you have a high potential of being pregnant coz that would be around the time that you would ovulate. you can take a test once you're late, mayb on 17th Dec...it's no use having a test before the 16th becoz the test won't detect it.
Pray and hope that all goes well.

how can a child raise a baby????
simple answer they cannot. not without someones assitance, wether it be financial, emotional, or physical.
how will a 16 yr old girl, and boy provide for a baby? I am 24 with 3 kids, and about $2000 worth of monthly expenses, excluding extras, birthdays , holidays, trips to the mall.
lets think about it,
monthly expenses,
could you afford rent? utilitys? insurance, health car, and life, and renters? grocerys, medical bills? car note, cable internet, clothing?
gas? I am sure I am leaving some thing out, but if the answer is no, then you are not ready to be a parent.

If you are under 18 you can't go to the doctors without parent supervision..... so don't try that!
You will be able to test for pregnancy about 5 days before your period is due, you can buy a home pregnancy test!
Good luck!
