Each MP3 play should include a disk that you can use on your computer. Once you install the program, it should be pretty intuitive, usually it's just click and drag to move music from your computer to your MP3. You can always read the manual, whether it be paper or digital, if you're not sure how to transfer music.

MP3 players usually interface to the computer with a USB cable. Once plugged in, they will act as another disk in your system. You can then copy any MP3's over to them, like you would any other file.

Most MP3 players come with a disc of software especially for it (e.g. the iPod series comes with its signature software, iTunes, which is used to put mp3s on it); other programs exist that are compatible with most MP3 players.

You shouldn't need to buy anything for your player.
