some do, some don't wanna be cheerleaders. for me i am both and cheerleader and a dancer and they are two totally different things. its weird because i've never heard dancers are wanna-be cheerleaders but that cheerleaders are wanna-be dancers. so i guess it could go either way. i think that their not wanna-be's because if they wanted to be in the other activity they wouuld tryout and do that rather than taking the other =)

Dancing and cheerleading are two very different skills. To be a cheerleader, you need more pep, strength of voice and alot of guts to do all of those stunts. To be a dancer, you have to have great technique, good positions and immense amounts of patience and strength. I'm not saying that cheerleaders don't need those things, but dancers need them more.

I am a dancer, and i am definitely not a wannabe cheerleader... if somebody is a seriously trained dancer [modern, jazz, ballet...etc] , they don't like to be considered or be connected with cheerleaders. for me, cheer leading is a respectable thing to do, but i wouldn't want to do it. I think it has to do with the cheesy-ness of it.

Nope, yeah cheerleaders are great, but I believe everything a dancer can do a cheerleader can do and vice versa.

Do you mean dancers wanna be cheerleaders? Or dancers are "wanna be" cheerlers?

In either case, it is not true.

PERSONALLY I would never want to be a cheerleader, but that could just be me.

Dance and cheer do have some similarities, but they are two very different things.

No I think that is reversed, Cheerleaders learn dance choreography, not the other way around.

I would rather watch a dancer with a pole, than a cheerleader with a pom-pom.
