it is not bad it is actually a day of power and the catholic church massacred almost all of the Knights Templar on that day. They were protecting the holy grail and the church wanted it so they killed everyone they could find. Kinda like the millions of women they rounded up and burnt and boiled in oil because they were a threat to the insecure men that were trying to control society. How many people are sitting at the last supper? 13 Jesus asked Judus to turn him in so he could do what he came to do. Judus is a hero not the traitor the catholic church has made him out to be. Another lie to control the masses through fear.

I heard it was related to the fact that Jesus was supposed to have been crucified on a Friday, and that 13 is seen as an unlucky number anyway.

I have heard two sources for the idea of 13 as an unlucky number. One is that it is the amount of people at the last supper, and the other is that it is supposedly traditionally the amount of witches in a coven.

friday the 13th year 1307, the templars were arrested by the king of france.
Their leader Jacques de Molay was burned.
The power of the templars was too strong and the king wanted them down. The pope agreed with the king.
This was the end of the order of the templar and the start of the legend of the treasure...

The number 13 has long been considered unlucky, particularly by those who suffer from triskaidekaphobia. There are many theories regarding links to various Biblical events, but there is no solid evidence to demonstrate or suggest that there is any continuity from the Middle Ages to the present day.

It is not a bad day at all. My eldest daughter was born on Friday the 13th and was a very healthy baby. It is a very blessed day.

If what others are saying is true, it is an even more lucky day since if Jesus hadnt died that day, We wouldnt be forgiven for all our sins. So it can be looked on as a blessed day.

The most common explanation seems to be that Jesus was crucified on a Friday and that there were 13 people present at the Last Supper (12 disciples plus Jesus himself) and one of them - Judas - went on to betray him. So it's a double whammy, so to speak.
