GREAT QUESTION!!!! I was so careful when I was pregnant and I think it paid off. My babies were healthy as was I. Here's a great link about soft cheeses and meats, etc. Congratulations on your pregnancy. What a wonderful journey you have to enjoy!

I atre what I wanted with my nine. I was careful about caffeine but did nit eliminate it and watched fats. Other than that I made sure ai got plenty of calcium, vegetables and fruits and meats as tolerated. I was always told that if you crave something your body needs something in it so eat it. I did and have 9 children ages 25 -9. Best of luck and try not to worry too much that is not healthy for you or baby.

I've been told to stay away from sliced deli meats - it has some bacteria in it (listeria?) that can be very harmful to the baby. Also, my doc said to avoid most sea foods (but I've also heard that some are good for you).

1) coffee - becoz it absorbs the iron that you and your baby need....mayb jst 1 cup a day if you can't help yourself
2) shell fish and small fishes - coz it got mercury in them
3) beans, broccoli, bean sprouts - coz they give u a lot of gas (it can get uncomfortable)
4) liver, bittergourd, pineapple & ginger - coz it can cause miscarriage as they have strong agents that work to clean the womb (ginger best taken after birth to clean your insides)
5) matured cheese - not sure of the reason yet
6) sugar & salt - coz u don't want your blood level to shoot up to the sky, it gives birth complication.
I think that's basically all that I can share from the top of my head right now.
Congratulations and all the best.
