I also want to change the settings on the search box so that it wouldn't automatically show the words/phrases I've searched before when I start to type the first letter. I don't want to see the searches I've made before. thanks!

HOW ABOUT THE AUTOMATIC THING WHENEVER I TYPE SOMETHING ON A SEARCH BOX, IT AUTOMATICALLY SHOWS A LIST OF ALL THE THE THINGS I'VE SEARCHED BEFORE STARTING WITH THE LETTER THAT I TYPED. I WANT IT TO BE DISABLED. HOW CAN I DO THAT?

Open Internet Explorer
Click Tools | Internet Options... | and click Advanced tab
Place or Remove the checkmark next to [Reuse Windows for Launching Shortcuts]
Click [Apply] [OK]

If you uncheck the "reuse windows for launching shortcuts" a new window will not open, links will open in the same window

WHat you're saying is once you click a link, it opens an ad window. no longer only any window. bypass to that window. on the suitable precise nook, you'll locate a link called "classified ads by". open that link, deactivate the classified ads.

You can try Tools/ Internet Options/ General Tab/ Browsing History/ Delete. I used it to clear the history of fields used on forms. It can be used to clear other history too. I hope this helps/ works. Good luck.

On IE7, when you press Delete another page comes up asking you to specify. It doesn't delete everything.
