There are many things that relates to Christmas but arent to religious but the thing is these things are in a way inderectly gives reference to the birth of Jesus Christ. The star on the Christmas tree represents the star that was seen a long time ago in the lustrous firmament during the birth of Jesus. The giving of gifts represent the wise men giving their gifts to Jesus. Santa claus is St. Nicholas, a bishop who helped the poor people by giving them gifts during Christmas. Basically everything that will relate soley to Christmas are related to the birth of Jesus Christ.

The spelling of Christmas as xmas; Some people believe that the term is part of an effort to "take Christ out of Christmas" or to literally "cross out Christ"; it is also seen as evidence of the secularization of Christmas or a vehicle for pushing political correctness, or as a symptom of the commercialization of the holiday (as the abbreviation has long been used by retailers).

Santa Claus has lost all meaning. Certainly Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman aren't religious. You can use elves, garlands, wreaths, bows, etc...

*Holidays are coming.... Holidays are coming!*
And all those damn lights that people insist on decorating the outside of their houses with. They irritate the hell out of me - you can't walk down the street without been harassed by flashing lights.
